  1. User authentication, authorization and administration

    HOW TO OBTAIN A LICENSE TO USE THE PIAGGIO RMI SYSTEM, KEEP USER DATA AND ACCESS LEVEL UP TO DATE, PROTECT RMI AGAINST MISUSE AND HOW TO GET ACCESS TO THE PIAGGIO RMI SYSTEM.

    1. Register IO for use of the PIAGGIO RMI system

      REGISTER THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR FOR USE THE PIAGGIO RMI SYSTEM. TO REGISTER AN INDEPENDENT OPERATOR (COMPANY) ON THE PIAGGIO RMI SYSTEM YOU MUST HAVE A VAT NUMBER AND HAVE A BUSINESS RELATED TO AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR (DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY).

      This functionality requires the Independent Operator to perform the following steps:

      1. Open the Piaggio RMI Portal https://rmiportal.piaggiogroup.com/
      2. Select appropriate language (on the top right)
      3. Below the “Login” button click on “Register”
      4. Read and accept the contractual terms and conditions
      5. Read and accept the Self declaration
      6. Click “Continue Registration”
      7. Fill all the fields (fields with * are mandatory)
      8. Accept Privacy
      9. Click “Continue Registration”  

       

    2. Register IO employee for use of the PIAGGIO RMI system

      THIS FUNCTION ALLOWS TO REGISTER AN INDEPENDENT OPERATOR EMPLOYEE FOR USE THE PIAGGIO RMI SYSTEM

      This functionality is not implemented in the PIAGGIO RMI system, for each independent operator only a single registration is possible.

    3. Maintain IO status

      THIS FUNCTION ALLOWS THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR (COMPANY) DATA TO BE MODIFIED IN CASES WHERE IT HAS CHANGED SINCE REGISTRATION.

      This functionality requires the Independent Operator to perform the following steps:

      1.    Open the Piaggio RMI Portal https://rmiportal.piaggiogroup.com/
      2.    Click the “Login” button
      3.    Get access by providing Username and password as defined during the registration
      4.    Click on “Change your profile” on the “User Menu” on the left of the page
      5.    Change the field(s) to be modified (fields with * are always mandatory)
      6.    Click on “Save changes” button down in the page
      7.    You will get the message “The changes have been correctly saved”
      8.    You can change other field or select another option in the “User Menu”

      If the data to be changed is the password, the steps are the followings:
       
      1.    Open the Piaggio RMI Portal https://rmiportal.piaggiogroup.com/
      2.    Click the “Login” button
      3.    Click on “Forgotten Password”
      4.    Fill one of the fields: User or E-mail, as provided during registration
      5.    Enter the Captcha code
      6.    Click on “Invia”


      You will receive an e-mail (on the email address provided during the registration) with the instruction to change the password.  

       

       

    4. Maintain user status

      THIS FUNCTION ALLOWS THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR EMPLOYEE DATA TO BE MODIFIED IN CASES WHERE IT HAS CHANGED SINCE REGISTRATION.

      This functionality is not implemented in the PIAGGIO RMI system, for each independent operator only a single registration is possible.

    5. Request to delete the registration of an IO employee

      THIS FUNCTION ALLOWS THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR EMPLOYEE REGISTERED TO BE CANCELLED

      This functionality is not implemented in the PIAGGIO RMI system, for each independent operator only a single registration is possible.

    6. Login to PIAGGIO RMI system

      THIS FUNCTION ALLOWS THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR TO ACCESS THE PIAGGIO RMI SYSTEM

      This functionality requires the Independent Operator to perform the following steps:

      1.    Open the Piaggio RMI Portal https://rmiportal.piaggiogroup.com/
      2.    Click the “Login” button
      3.    Get access by providing Username and password as defined during the registration
      4.    Click the “Login” button
      5.    If the data are correct, you are now in the Welcome Page of the Piaggio RMI Portal

    7. Grant access to security-related RMI

      THIS FUNCTION ALLOWS ACCESS TO SECURITY FUNCTIONS ACCORDING TO THE REQUIREMENTS DEFINED BY THE REGULATIONS, WHICH PERTAINS THAT THESE FUNCTIONS ARE ACCESSIBLE ONLY TO SERMI-QUALIFIED OPERATORS

      Spare parts related to security functions will be available only for SERMI certified independent operator.

  2. Payment for RMI

    IN THIS SECTION YOU CAN, IF YOU ARE ALREADY REGISTERED ON THE SITE, PURCHASE SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING RMIS.

    The catalogue of the RMIs is accessible by:

    1. Open the Piaggio RMI Portal https://rmiportal.piaggiogroup.com/
    2. Click the “Login” button
    3. Get access by providing Username and password as defined during the registration
    4. Click the “Login” button
    5. Click on “Your subscription” on the USER MENU
    6. Click on the “Purchase new subscription”
    7. You have the full catalogue that you can filter by using the SEARCH FILTER
    8. You can add a catalogue element to the cart by clicking the Arrow button on the right of the element
    9. By clicking the Cart symbol on the right of Username you can see the list of the element you are buying
    10. By clicking “Proceed” you have access to the page to confirm/modify detail for the invoice and proceed with the payment
  3. Vehicle identification

    THE INDEPENDENT OPERATOR, WITH THIS FUNCTION, CAN HAVE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:  
    •    VEHICLE TYPE
    •    PRODUCT FEATURES,
    •    FACTORY FITTED OPTIONS E.G. POWER STEERING, BRAKES, SRS, EPS, EBS, ABS, HEADLIGHT TYPE,
    •    TYPE APPROVAL NUMBER OF THE VEHICLE MODEL.
    FROM THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) OR ALTERNATIVELY FROM THE PRODUCT FEATURES IDENTIFY THE VEHICLE TYPE.

    1. Vehicle identification through use of the VIN

      In this section you can enter the vin of a vehicle and get in response the list of product characteristics associated with it.

      To use the vehicle identification function:

      1.    Open the Piaggio RMI Portal https://rmiportal.piaggiogroup.com/
      2.    Click the “Login” button
      3.    Get access by providing Username and password as defined during the registration
      4.    Click the “Login” button
      5.    On the USER MENU click “Vehicle identification” menu option
      6.    Insert the vehicle Frame Number

      The available information is limited to Recall Campaign (indicate if the vehicle is actually involved in a Recall Campaign). 

    2. Vehicle type identification via product features

      IN THIS SECTION IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT VEHICLE TYPE, WITH A SEARCH BASED ON PRODUCT FEATURES LIKE:
      — MODEL,
      — PRODUCTION PERIOD,
      — BODY TYPE,
      — DRIVE TYPE,
      — ENGINE TYPE,
      — TRANSMISSION TYPE.

      This function is not available on the Piaggio RMI portal.  

  4. Provide selection methods for RMI

    THIS SECTION ALLOWS YOU TO SEARCH FOR RMIS IN FOUR DIFFERENT WAYS

    1. Select information type
